The Solution

Photon conducted an in-depth analysis of the existing system and processes to build an application using J2ME. Photon then conducted an in-depth study of the business need of the customer as a part of the initial phase of this project.

Photon successfully migrated the application from a legacy system to a scaleable and state-of-the-art system. A J2ME, .NET framework was used for the system with SQL 2000 as the database
Photon built an application (J2ME based), which can be supported on Motorola mobiles (I605), providing an option for the user to communicate with the server
The GPS enabled mobile device fetches GPS data from satellite at regular intervals, and sends the particular GPS coordinates to Java server
The core Java server determines the truck’s position based on the speed of the GPS data
Photon developed new age reporting services, which were rendered through the hand helds
